Yay! It’s the first day of summer! My favorite season. I love flip flops and sun dresses, the beach, gardening, and just being outside.

Cioppino (Seafood Stew)
For Father’s Day I made my husband his favorite dish, Cioppino. Cioppino is a seafood stew originating in San Francisco.
It’s an Italian-American dish and is typically made with the catch of the day. Or in my case whatever is on special and looks good! I decided on mussels, calamari, cod, shrimp, and crab.
Strawberry Chocolate Chip Muffins
Sometimes you just need something sweet! Strawberry Chocolate Chips Muffins will definitely do the trick and not make you feel guilty. These muffins are super moist and oh so yummy.
I used some of those delicious strawberries I picked the other day. I picked so many strawberries I didn’t even make a dent in huge basket I got at a local farm. So it looks like we will be eating a lot of strawberries this week!
It’s Strawberry Season!
It’s strawberry season here in Pennsylvania! There is this great local farm about a mile from my house where you can pick the most delicious strawberries. The strawberries are much smaller than the ones they sell at the grocery store, but they taste so much sweeter!
Grilled Romaine with Avocado Lime Dressing
I just returned from a much needed ladies getaway. We were visiting and staying with a friend who recently moved to Delray Beach, Florida. What a great town! Lots of shops, restaurants, beautiful beaches, and of course great company!
Strawberry Blueberry Spinach Salad
Ahhh! Summer is in the air! This is one of my favorite summer salads to eat. I just love all berries! Since I live in a pretty rural area it is easy to find local berry picking farms. Nothing tastes sweeter than picking a fresh berry and popping it right into your mouth!
This salad is also perfect to take to picnics and it pairs wonderfully with a poppy seed dressing or balsamic vinaigrette.
Grilled Vegetable Pizza
I have always wanted to make pizza on the grill. I have to admit I was a little nervous to throw the dough right onto the grill. I kept envisioning the dough falling down through the grates and making a huge mess. Thankfully that didn’t happen! Whew!
Now I am wondering why I didn’t try this sooner. It was so easy and oh so yummy!
Grilled Caprese Chicken
Who says chicken has to be boring? Not anymore!
This grilled chicken would be a perfect addition to your Memorial Day picnic menu. It’s so easy to prepare and with very little clean up. Your guests will certainly be impressed with this one!
Tomato Mozzarella Skewers
Looking for an appetizer to make for a Memorial Day picnic? Then look no further!
With tomato season right around the corner these tomato mozzarella skewers make a perfect summer appetizer. They are super easy to prepare and one of my favorite appetizers to make for a party.
Grilled Fruit Skewers
Fire up the grill for this yumminess! I have never been good at making desserts, but sometimes I surprise myself.
Dessert recipes seem to require me to actually measure things. I am more of a throw it together kind of girl. Well this throw it together dessert is so easy and delicious I will be making this again very soon!
